2017 | Our Year In Review

Each year I pray for a word from God. One that encapsulates what he wants me to learn, grow in, and focus on for the year. My word for 2017 was “connection”. At first I thought it would simply mean forging new relationships and opportunities. Looking back at this year though, I realize that God meant deeper connection with Him and His will, with my existing relationships, with the outdoors, and with forgotten dreams. Here is a little recap of our year! January We brought in my 26th birthday in typical fashion – exercising and enjoying the outdoors. Fit For Her: Women Here Helping Women There

Water is life. Think of what your life would look like if you didn’t have access to clean drinking water. Thirsty? Want to wash your produce? Need to brush your teeth? For many of us, it’s just a matter of turning on the faucet. But for much of the world, access to safe drinking water doesn’t exist. 1/3 of all schools in the world lack access to safe water and sanitation. Every 90 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease. 842,000 people die every year from diseases caused by unsafe water, inadequate sanitation and lack of hygiene. What’s more, the global water crisis affects women and girls disproportionately more than men and boys .Girls under the age of 15 are twice as likely as boys to be the family member fetching water.
